I am a Northwestern University professor of computer science.
I co-direct the Northwestern Center for Human Computer Interaction + Design.
I teach courses in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Generative Modeling, Digital Music Instrument Design, Machine Perception of Music, and Computer Audition.
I head the Computer Science Diversity Committe and am faculty advisor to the Latin@CS student group.
When I’m not being an academic, I make music with the Latin Folk Fusion ensemble Son Monarcas and the Jazz/Maqam ensemble The East Loop.
